Growing Up

I grew up in Lausanne, Switzerland and was lucky enough to attend International Schools like College Champittet & International School Brillantmont. Growing up in Lausanne was remarkable. It gave me a chance to meet people from around the world, make life-long friends and travel most of Europe, discovering academia, language and culture.

Being a Magician

After seeing Lance Burton perform live in Vegas as a child, I set my sights on becoming an Illusionist. Being 8 years old, my initial performances were restricted to a select few…friends and family. As a teenager however, I quickly began securing paying gigs around the world. I specialized in stage illusion shows and escapology.

Eventually, the time came for me to hang up the leather pants and focus on my Bachelors Degree in International Business at the European Business School, London. Although I still on “occasion” consult on theatrical stage productions, for the most part, the only time you’ll see me perform a magic trick is after a couple of beers, when I’m feeling a little nostalgic.

Academia, The LCP Experience & Filmmaking

During my first year of University, I discovered digital filmmaking and became heavily invested  film production and content creation for the web. During my first semester at the European Business School, London, I help create The LCP Experience. As a student run events management company, The LCP Experience provides real life work experience for undergraduate business students and produces creative Live Events, such as Art Installations, Fashion Shows and Film Festivals for leading UK companies such has the BBC, The NSPCC, The Conran Shop UK and many others. For the remainder of my time at University, I actively wrote, produced, directed and edited independent short/feature length films with The LCP Experience, experimented with content creation for the Web and organized live charity events. Upon completion of my degree, I was invited by the European Business School, London to lecture on Business Communications, Creative Management, Leadership & Management as well as co-run The LCP Experience.

The Future: Business Development, The Internet & Beyond

In 2007, seeking a change of pace, I moved back to my hometown of Lausanne, Switzerland to co-found DBERRY S.à.r.l., for whom I currently consult as a business developer and technology advisor. dberry S.à.r.l. provides modern B2B / Key Consultancy services such as product/brand representation, web presence and online marketing solutions for both local and international businesses of all sizes. In 2009, dberry S.à.r.l. launched mydberry.com, a revolutionary online shopping experience for Swiss end-users. mydberry.com aims to bridge the gap between businesses and consumers, by providing them  a unique platform to engage and interact. In doing so, mydberry.com gives Swiss end-users an innovative, fun and transparent way of getting to know local businesses and access to exclusive limited time offers.

I’ve created Kurt von Moos.com to serve as a table of contents for my life. I post updates about my active projects, share what I’m up do and link to weird and wonderful things I find on the Internet.
